Son of former Vice President of Nigeria and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party in last presidential election, Atiku Abubakar has tested positive to the virulent Coronavirus disease.
Atiku made this known on Sunday night on his verified Twitter account.
He said the National Center for Disease Control had been contacted and his son had been moved to Gwagawlada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment.
“My son has tested positive to coronavirus. @NCDCGov has been duly informed, and he has been moved to Gwagwalada Specialist Teaching Hospital in Abuja for treatment and management. I will appreciate it if you have him in your prayers. Stay safe, coronavirus is real. -AA,” he posted.
As of Sunday night, a total number of 30 cases have been confirmed in the country and two have been discharged.
