The Kano State Government on Monday declared three persons who tested positive to coronavirus in the state wanted.

The state coordinator of the technical response team on COVID-19, Dr Tijjani Hussaini confirmed the report to Ekohotblog.

Dr Tijjani Hussaini said the patients fled their known addresses and switched off their phones after they tested positive.

He narrated that “a medical team went to pick them so that they can be isolated and commence their treatment only to discover that they have left their known residential addresses.

‘’Íncidentally we met one of them only for him to deny that he was not the person we are looking for. However, after speaking to his uncle on phone, the description he gave was the same person we meet who denied being the person we are looking for.” Dr Hussaini said.

However, we are in collaboration with ward heads and working round the clock to track the patients so that we can protect the larger community.
