Cristiano Ronaldo’s exit terms agreed during Wednesday night meeting

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez, his right-hand man Jose Angel Sanchez and Cristiano Ronaldo’s agent Jorge Mendes met on Wednesday evening to discuss the terms of a potential Estadio Santiago Bernabeu exit for the No.7.

Angel Sanchez asked Mendes to present an offer worth 100 million euros in order to receive the blessing of Los Blancos’ hierarchy and Mendes stated that he would indeed be able to do so, with Juventus the club ready to pay this price tag.

Going into the Wednesday evening meeting, there was still a chance that Ronaldo could continue to play for Real Madrid, but a potential salary increase was hardly even addressed and this, in the eyes of the player’s entourage, was the final piece of proof that his only option is to leave.

His mind is now focussed on Juventus, where he’ll play for the next four seasons.

During the meeting, the manner of Ronaldo’s exit was also discussed, with both the club and the player wanting the farewell to be positive and civil.

Discussions will go on in the coming days, but the clear conclusion from this meeting is that Ronaldo will be going to Turin.
