The national assembly petitions tribunal sitting in Abia state has sacked Orji Uzor Kalu as senator representing Abia north.
Mao Ohuabunwa, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the senatorial election, had challenged Kalu’s victory at the tribunal.
Kalu is currently the senate chief whip.
He was elected under the All Progressives Congress (APC).
But the tribunal, at its sitting on Monday, annulled his election.
