NIA Alerts Regulatory Agencies Of Dangerous Drugs In Circulation

The National Intelligence Agency, NIA, has alerted regulatory agencies in the country about dangerous drugs being smuggled into the country by some Chinese nationals.

The NIA revealed that the South Korean government impounded 2751 drugs or capsules being smuggled into the country.

Further checks by the NIA revealed that human fetuses, infants and flesh, were used in the preparation of the drugs while an astonishing 18.7 billion viruses were found in the drugs or capsules.

The NIA has relayed the information to the office of the National Security Adviser, NSA; the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, NAFDAC; National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, and Standard Organisation of Nigeria, SON.

In addition, the Nigeria Customs Service, NCS, and the Nigerian Postal Service, NIPOST have been warned to upgrade their investigations of cargoes and mails respectively.

The NIA also revealed it’s making further investigations and monitoring the situation closely.
