PHOTO/VIDEO: Lagos Truck Accident Kills Three, Injures Two

A truck with registration number unknown conveying a huge load of plywood swerved and poured its content down the Ojuelegba bridge in Lagos.

The incident claimed three lives and injured two others on Tuesday night, and they have been taken to the hospital for medical treatment.

Four vehicles beneath the bridge were involved in the accident – three commercial buses and a Toyota Corolla Car.

The Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) confirmed the number of casualties in the incident, saying two people were killed in the process while the third person died later.

Officials of the Nigeria Police Force, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Red Cross, LRT, LASTMA, and Lagos State Fire Service, among others, took part in the rescue effort.
