Founder of Daar Communications Plc, Raymond Dokpesi, has revealed that the drugs currently administered by the Federal Government on covid-19 patients were not different from what every other hospitals use for malaria treatment, Daily Post reports.
This disclosure is coming few hours after leaving Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Abuja coronavirus isolation center with his grandchildren.
Dokpesi who expressed his confusion, alleged that many patients currently in isolation centres only had malaria after several tests from reputable laboratories in the country but were tagged as covid-19 patient by the National Center for Disease Control (NCDC).
“I still have doubts in my mind and I need to be educated. What’s the difference between COVID-19 and malaria? Every drug we were given were malaria medications.
“A number of persons who tested positive were checked in reputable labs, hospitals in Abuja and were found to have malaria parasites in their blood streams. When did malaria become synonymous with COVID-19?”, he said.
Thelagostimes had earlier reported that Dokpesi, alongside his two grandchildren were discharged from the isolation center. However, some of his family members including his son were yet to be discharged.
