Until along came Bolanle Ambode to usurp her and build a new and shining dynasty on the ruins of her glory and fame.

When her husband Babatunde Fashola occupied the number one seat in Lagos, Abimbola was the toast of high society. She was the sun around which the Lagos social scene revolved; and she dazzled like one, leaving mouths hanging with her unique array of exquisite party wears. Hostesses fiercely competed for her favour while she gleefully lapped up all the adulation like a gracious Empress.
