As part of efforts to ensure access to proper pest control chemicals and sanitation services, Amobile group, a one-stop sanitation, hygiene, cleaning, and pest control company, has opened a new branch at Ogba, Lagos state.

The all-inclusive sanitation and pest control store, located at 51, College road, Ifako-Ijaiye, Ogba area of Lagos, was officially opened on 6th December, 2023 and had in attendance dignitaries from different government parastatals in the state.

While speaking during the event, the Chief Operating Officer of the group, Mrs. Damilola Oloruntade revealed that the state is invaded with pests and diseases because many environments in the state are not clean. She added that the vision of Amobile group is to ensure that there are branches in strategic local governments of the state so that residents of these environments will have a faster access to the effective pest control and sanitation services offered by the company.

“We have a branch at Ojodu Berger. So, this is another branch at Ogba, precisely Orimolade. What we are doing is, we are actually bringing cleaning, sanitation, hygiene, and pest control into the neighbourhoods where they really need it. We are having problem with pests because a lot of people do not even have access to proper public health chemicals and proper ways to go about this thing. So, what we are doing is, we are actually opening stores all around different local governments in Lagos state. We are 16 years in the business, so it’s not as if we just started now,” she added.

According to her, Amobile group is the first all-inclusive sanitation and pest control service company in the country. She added that the company also provides mobile toilets for parties, bus-stops, and public areas both within and outside the country.

“Yes, we are proud to say it. There is no store that you can come into and you can have sanitation, hygiene, cleaning, and pest control in one place. This is the first store like that in Nigeria, and we are proud to be the first to actually start this. And I always say this, cleaning is a technology business. Pest control is a technology business. We use technology. We come into your home and we bring in computers to check if you have pests in your home. That’s the way we work in this company. So, we are taking it to another level,” she added.

She further disclosed that the company has a training academy, Amobile group academy, where people are trained on how to go about the business.

“We have graduates in our company. I always tell them to go back to school and we have people that are in NOUN studying, and they are in this company. We are growing every day. They are proud cleaners and technicians. This store is actually licensed also by Lagos State. So, anybody that needs cleaning services, we are there as Amobile cleaning services. If you need pest control, we have Amobile pest control and if you want to start the business, we have Amobile group academy and we have so many trainings. We have some of our alumni here today,” she said.

Also speaking at the event, a retired Permanent Secretary of Lagos State Ministry of Environment and the pioneer Managing Director of Lagos State Parks and Garden, Doctor Titilayo Anibaba, noted that Amobile’s vision is what is needed for a sustainable environment.

“There is no shop you will go that its only sanitation and pest control equipment that they have. Amobile has the best of the best. I know that the state government is doing all they can, but the problem of Lagos is that we have so many people coming in daily. It is overstretching the infrastructure. What you have from the Waste Management Agency is stretching all the time. My advice is that all the other states will develop and, you know, migration will be less for Lagos,” she added.
