Bandits Reportedly Kidnap Katsina State Governor’s Mother-In-Law On Election Eve

Suspected gunmen, in the early hours of Friday, March 8 reportedly kidnapped Hajiya Maisitiyari, the mother-in-law of the governor of Katsina state, Aminu Masari.

According to reports, Maisitiyari was kidnapped by armed men on masks at about 3am on Friday at her residence in Dandume crescent, Katsina layout of the metropolis.

It was learnt that other people who live in the house were thoroughly beaten just as their mobile telephones were carted away.

Meanwhile, TheLagostimes recalls that the Katsina state government on Wednesday, January 2, lamented that the state was under siege by bandits, armed robbers and kidnappers.

Governor Aminu Masari made this known during the opening ceremony of an extra-ordinary security meeting in Katsina.
