Exxon Mobil Praises Indigenous Company to the skies…

Joy and joie de vivre hover thickly in the home and offices of billionaire businessman, Julius Rone, founder of UTM Group. It is understandable! One of his companies, UTM Dredging Limited, an established provider of premium marine logistic support in engineering, construction, equipment rental, leasing, procurement, supply and general labour services to an ever-expanding clientele comprising state and federal governments, oil and gas companies and other private organizations, was adjudged as the ‘Most Active in Communications’ in service with Exxon Mobil at the just concluded Marine Safety Contractors’ Forum organised by Exxon Mobil Upstream Nigeria. But that was not all.

President Muhammadu Buhari in a handshake with MD/CEO UTM Offshore Limited, Mr Julius Rone during an audience of His Majesty Olu of Warri, Ikenwoli with the President at the State House in Abuja.

On the same star-spangled night, and in the presence of leading businessmen and investors in the oil and gas industry whose halo swathed the exclusive Black Diamond Apartments and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos, the UTM’s vessel – the Stanford Buzzard – was awarded the most reliable vessel award among the fleet of service boats operating with the oil and gas giant.

While thanking the organisers of the honours, an excited Rone reiterated that “Since inception, we have built a reputation by passionately and professionally executing our briefs to deliver the best value to our clients. In so doing, we have positioned our company as a frontline marine organization in virtually all our areas of operations.”

He added that the UTM is fully committed to the technological niceties and processes required for growth and optimizing local content in all aspects of its business activities and it possesses the brain, brawn and the tools of trade required to bring world class marine service solutions to the door steps of clients.

Indeed, with a focus and objective to become a marine service providing firm with international posture using highly skilled, goal-driven professionals and unique innovative technology, the UTM, incorporated in 2012, has been providing first class service to its clients while making meaningful contributions to the society.

Founded by Rone, an alumnus of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife and the University of Calabar (Cross River State) – the company’s policy and continuing objective is to place its clients at a competitive advantage by providing services, which not only satisfies statutory or stated technical and contractual requirements but also bear consistency in quality.
