“Magu Not Arrested” – DSS Debunks Reports

The Department of State Services (DSS) has debunked reports that it arrested the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer, Peter Afunaya, the DSS wrote: “The Department of State Services (DSS) wishes to inform the public that it did not arrest Ibrahim MAGU, Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) as has been reported by sections of the media.

“The Service, has since, today, 6th July, 2020, been inundated with enquiries over the alleged arrest”.

Thelagostimes recalls that earlier today, there were media reports that Magu was arrested by the DSS over alleged fraud.

He was said to be under interrogation at the DSS office in Abuja.
