Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun, on Wednesday in Osogbo, the state capital said that even enemies and antagonists of his government were aware of visible infrastructural changes, which have enhanced the development of the state.

The governor, who spoke at Osogbo Township Stadium during the grand finale of his sensitisation and goodwill tours of federal constituencies in Osun said that ruling the All Progressive Congress (APC) remain the only political party that had the pedigree to promote good governance and welfare of the citizenry in Nigeria, most especially in the state.
Aregbesola contended that “we are different from other parties that you know. There are different types of parties, but our party has history, custom and factual accounts from our forebearers. This is the political party of Awolowo, Bola Ige and Abraham Adesanya. It is not anyhow party and this is the party of Yorubaland”.
According to him, because of this, I want us to remember the children of whom we are because we are careful with the way we do things. With the support of God and where we are now, I used to say it anywhere I go that they cannot compare us with any other political party and this is due to what we are”.
“There are some political parties that have no history, the only thing we know them for is violence, stealing and arm twisting. But we are happy that since our political party has been in government, our enemies knows that changes have come to the state. There are changes in Osun State. Apart from rebuilding the state, we give the people peace of mind”.
“Peace and tranquility are reigning in Osun State. There is no chaos again and all those threatening the peace of the people in the society were chased away by God when we came on board. The second thing is that people don’t know that ambulance can be made available not only for carry corpses, but also people involved in accidents or emergency situations”, Aregbesola remarked.
He, however, admitted that the high debt profile of his administration, pointing out that no individual, government entity or organisation can survive without debt, saying “the highest indebted state in Nigeria is Lagos, which is the richest state in Nigeria. Lagos State does not feel its debt because it is rich. We want to resemble Lagos. Later, Osun State will also be rich”.
Speaking earlier, one of the chieftains of the APC in Osogbo/ Olorunda Federal Constituency  constituency, who is also the Commissioner for Justice, Dr Ajibola Basiru charged members of the APC and the electorate to cast their votes for the party in the September 22, 2018 governorship election in the state.
