For Omolabake Adeneye, it is not about living a frivolous lifestyle or spending at parties to impress people. One thing that has remained her priority is putting smiles on the faces of the needy. On  weekly basis, Omolabake gives thousands of naira to her numerous followers on social media and this has endeared her into the hearts of the beneficiaries irrespective of tribes.

“Giving is living is my slogan, that’s why I decided to continue where my mother stopped,” Omolabake said.

Omogbolake Foundation, which has now become a household name, didn’t just start overnight. The name was coined from her name and that of her mother. Her interest is to ensure that the less privileged also have lives of their own.

Just recently, the UK-based female entrepreneur and philanthropist gathered over 200 widows as she doled out different gift items, foodstuffs, and offered financial assistance. It was a day to remember for the widows in attendance.

When asked if she’s doing it for any reason, she explained how her late mother lived all her life caring for humanity.

“It’s a pity mummy could not fulfill her destiny. My mother lived all her life giving to the needy, I must be sincere here that I took after her. I look at this world and agree with the proverb that life is vanity. What’s the essence of that affluence and wealth you acquire when many people out there are suffering? I can’t live to see a fellow human being looking for what to eat when my three square meals are available even with extras. Maybe that’s how God made me to be. I’m not a millionaire, not even up to children of an average Nigerian politician, but I’m always heartbroken seeing people suffering,” she said.

Meanwhile, it’s going to be a December to Remember again as Omogbolake Foundation is ready to pamper people in hundreds especially the needy.

“We shall be visiting some motherless homes in Lagos and its environs, and we are planning to extend these gestures to other parts of the country very soon. Our goal is to build a brighter future together.”

Omogbolake Foundation started some years ago as a humanitarian organisation with the sole aim of putting smiles on the faces of the needy. In 2021, the charitable organisation was honoured by Africa Leadership Philanthropy Awards as The Most Outstanding Humanitarian Organisation, Women Affairs. Also, in the 2022/2023 edition of the Toplotech Prominent Personalities & Organisation Award, Omogbolake Foundation, for its love and support for humanity, was awarded the Most Prominent Charitable Organisation.

However, the Founder/ Chairperson of the foundation, Omolabake Adeneye, who is fondly called Labby by her close friends, has appealed to the Federal Government, individuals, and organisations “to render their supports by contributing to our donation drive.

“Your generosity will provide essential resources, improve facilities and create a nurturing environment for young minds to thrive,” she concluded.

She added that plans are underway to provide school bags, books, writing materials, mathematical sets, etc for students this November at Ojodu Primary School.
