The model, who was said to have been “suffering flu-like symptoms, and possibly pneumonia, for several weeks”, died on Thursday at the age of 47, Diddy’s representative told CNN.

“Sadly, I can confirm the passing of Kim Porter. I ask that you give the families privacy at this time,” Combs’ publicist Cyndi Berger said in a statement.

According to TMZ, the police responded to an emergency dispatch audio saying Porter was in cardiac arrest.

Porter and Diddy were a couple for more than a decade until 2007. The entertainers had twin daughters and a son together.

Porter once said about her relationship with Diddy: “Sean and I have this bond, this friendship. I’m the person he can tell his innermost thoughts to and he’s that person for me. He still calls me every day and we talk.”

The deceased also had a son, Quincy Brown, from her previous relationship with singer/producer, Al B. Sure.

Before her death, the actress cum model was known for her roles in ‘Wicked Wicked Games’, ‘Law & Order’, ‘The Brothers’ and ‘Mama, I Want to Sing’.

Even after her romantic relationship with Diddy ended, the entertainers remained good friends, often appearing together at public events.

Meanwhile, as at the time of writing this report, no information about the cause of Porter’s death was released.
