BREAKING: Tinubu Wins APC Presidential Primary Election

National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has emerged the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Party (APC) in the 2023 general elections.

Tinubu emerged winner after defeating his counterparts, including Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, and the Senate President, Ahmad Lawan.

He won with a total of 1,271 votes.

Thelagostimes had earlier reported that former minister of Niger Delta state Affairs, Godswill Akpabio; former governor of Ogun state, Ibikunle Amosun; governor of Ekiti state, Kayode Fayemi; former speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole; governor of Jigawa state, Mohammed Abubakar-Badaru; deputy senate leader, Ajayi Borofice and the only female aspirant, Uju Kennedy, all stepped down for Tinubu at the venue of the primaries.

There were 2,322 delegates from across the country present at the Eagles Square to elect the flag bearer of the party.
