COVID 19: FCT Leads As Nigeria Records 393 New Cases, Six Deaths

COVID-19: 86 New Cases Confirmed As Disease Spreads To Jigawa, Borno

The Federal Capital Territory on Monday recorded the highest cases of COVID-19 infections in the country, as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control reported 393 cases and six COVID-19 related deaths.

The agency also revealed that the total infection from the pandemic currently stands at 202,191.

It added that the fatality toll has increased to 2,661, while a total of 190, 901 Nigerians have been discharged nationwide.

The agency stated that other states that recorded cases of the virus were: Lagos (86), Edo (70), Delta (30), Rivers (24), Plateau (16), Benue (11), Cross River (10), Abia (eight), Bayelsa (four), Gombe (four), Bauchi (three), Kano (three), Adamawa (two) and Taraba (one) .

“Today’s report includes: backlog of 1 confirmed case for Taraba for Sept. 18, 2021 and zero cases from Nasarawa, Ondo, Osun and Sokoto States,” NCDC said.
