Suspended Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abba Kyari, on Monday, dragged the Federal Government before a Federal High Court in Abuja over his continued detention by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA).

Thelagostimes gathered that Kyari is seeking a court order in a suit marked FHC/ABJ/CS/182/22, to be released from detention.

Recall that Kyari was suspended on August 1, 2021, over his involvement with an Internet fraudster, Ramon Abbas, popularly called Hushpuppi. He was subsequently arrested by the Police and handed over to the NDLEA.
