Brigadier-General Shuaibu Ibrahim has replaced Maj. General Suleiman Kazaure as the Director-General of the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC).

According to a report by online news platform, Aledeh.com, a senior official within the scheme disclosed that an official announcement is expected to follow soon.

The new NYSC DG, Ibrahim is the Registrar of the Nigerian Army University, Biu.

He is replacing Maj. General Kazaure who has been the NYSC DG since April 2016.

Kazaure is the 17th Chief Executive Officer of the NYSC SCheme, Thelagostimes gathered.

He hails from Kazaure, Jigawa State of Nigeria and attended the Arewa Primary School, Kazaure for his primary education and thereater proceeded to Government College Birnin-Kudu, old Kano State and later Science Secondary School, Dawakin-Kudu, present Kano State for his secondary education.

He was commissioned into the Nigerian Army on 4th October, 1989 and posted to the Nigerian Army Education Corps.
