The Senate has confirmed 45 ministerial nominees out of 48 forwarded to it for confirmation by President Bola Tinubu.

Thelagostimes gathered that three of the nominees were however, not confirmed by the Senate. They are Nasir El-Rufai from Kaduna, Stella Okotete from Delta State and Abubakar Sani Danladi from Taraba State.

Speaking after the confirmation of the 45 nominees, the Senate President, Godswill Obot Akpabio, revealed that the remaining three nominees were not confirmed over security concerns.

Akpabio said: “El-Rufai and two others have not been cleared by security checks.”

Meanwhile, earlier during the screening exercise on Monday, there was controversy over the screening of Festus Keyamo, a ministerial nominee from Delta state.
